Bushmills 21yr : 40%abv
Bushmills 1608 Anniversary Edition Irish Whiskey Bushmills was first granted their license to distill 400 years ago this year
(2008) and so have released the limited-edition "1608" to mark the anniversary.
Distilled with crystal malt—a special malted barley called "crystal" because of
its bead-like appearance. Regardless of whether its crystal or diamond cut, this
whisky still delivers the exceptional smoothness and sweet toffee-like notes you
expect from Bushmills. Creamy and mouthfilling with lots of raspberry and
currant fruit, this is a great Irish whisky for the collector. A blend of three
different types of whiskey—malt whiskey, grain whiskey, and a third component
which is said to be a malt whiskey produced from crystal malt. Brewers and
homebrewers will know crystal malt well, being a slightly caramelized version of
malted barley. Its rich texture suggests a decent malt content for a blend.
Layers of sweetness (honeyed vanilla, rummy molasses, toasted marshmallow) are
balanced by toasted nuts, dried fruit, and dark chocolate. Very dynamic and with
plenty of grit. Smartly bottled at 46% ABV. Advanced Malt Advocate Magazine
rating: 90 Points
Connemara 12 year Old Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Clontarf is an ancient village nestled along Dublin Bay's northern shore. It was here in the year 1014 that High King Brian Boru defeated a mighty Viking army--the famous Battle of Clontarf. Today, Clontarf is a suburb of the bustling capital of Dublin. Clontarf Irish Whiskey The Clontarf family are Irish whiskeys of distinction. The purity of the Irish elements is reflected in their smooth, full flavor. The inspirational marriage of Old World ingredients and New World techniques give the Clontarf whiskeys a style of their own. As tradition dictates, only the finest grain and purest Irish spring water are used in the delicate distillation process. Clontarf is then mellowed through Atlantic Irish oak charcoal. Finally, Clontarf is gently aged in New World bourbon barrels giving a silky soft texture to this fine range of Irish whiskeys. Clontarf Black Label : 40%abv. Clontarf Reserve : 40%abv. Jameson : 40%abv. In the 200 years since it was first produced, Jameson has become the world’s leading Irish whiskey. Jameson is a sublimely mellow whiskey with a sweet taste at first that fades into a luxurious mix of malt and vanilla. Made primarily from pure Irish water and the finest Irish barley, Jameson is created through a fastidious multi-stage process with unique characteristics. The malting stage uses barley dried in a closed kiln, preserving the clean, honeyed flavor of the malt and eliminating the smoky, peaty flavor present in Scotch whisky. Jameson is then triple-distilled. Finally, the whiskey is aged for a minimum of five to seven years after being matured in American bourbon and Spanish sherry oak casks.

Then Jameson 18 Years Old is transferred to american bourbon barrels for a further 6 months, to put the final finishing touches to this unique and complex whiskey.
John Powers : 40%abv. John Powers and sons began production in 1791 in 1886 they were one of the first to start to bottle their whiskeys until then almost all drinks were sold from the barrel. Cork as a blend of pot still and grain whiskeysPower's is an Irish favourite with its fruity and spicy flavours giving way to a long lingering finish.
Kilbeggan : Kilbeggan is Gaelic for "little church". What is now an idyllic village in the heart of Ireland was for many years an active religious and learning centre built around a monastery.Legend has it that monks of the 12th century began distilling Uisce Beatha (water of life) or whiskey using the barley from the surrounding fields and the waters of the Brosna river and heating the stills with turf from the local peat boglands. What is certain though, is that the first licensed whiskey distillery in the world, John Locke's, began production in Kilbeggan in 1757. The whiskey produced in Kilbeggan was famous throughout Ireland by the 19th Century. The building of a canal to the town led to the development of exports to lands as far away as Australia and Argentina. Drawing on centuries of tradition and craft, Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey is distilled from the pure clear water and barley of Ireland, gently matured for long years in oak casks resting in ancient warehouses and skillfully blended to create a whiskey of unique smoothness, balance and character.
In the early 1900s, the finest whiskey in Ireland was often sold in casks rather than in bottles, as it is today. Spirits merchants bought the casks, aged them and bottled the whiskey under their own brand names. Today, the Andrews family carries on the Knappogue Castle legacy with vintage dated Irish single malt whiskey. For each vintage, a limited number of casks of the finest Irish single malt are selected. Each is distilled with the utmost care one batch at a time. The latest vintage in this award-winning series was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2004. Knappogue is lightly chill filtered and unlike many whiskeys, no artificial coloring is added. And, like fine wines, our whiskey is marked with the year of its creation. All this results in a unique, crisp, clean flavor that varies from vintage to vintage.
