San Francisco Chronicle, October 26,
2007. "This proprietary blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay
and Muscat Canelli, with splashes of Semillon and Viognier,
makes a lovely floral-citrus aperitif, but is also a terrific
match with many styles of Asian food. This vintage's grapes come
from Napa, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties. Its ripe
melon and floral flavors are strengthened with just enough
acidity to make it at once refreshing and foodworthy."
Wine Spectator, August 31, 2007: Rated:
88 points. "Wildly fragrant, with honeysuckle, jasmine and
peach aromatics. Shows an intriguing medley of melon, nectarine
and passion fruit flavors, with juicy acidity and a long,
lingering finish."
Santa Rosa Press Democrat, November
8, 2006: Wine of the Week. Rated: 4 Stars. "An impressive
white blend...the complexity of the blend makes it a tasty
food-pairing wine. The first sip is all soft sweetness and
light...name any tropical fruit and you will imagine you are
tasting it in this wine. It is natural and all but inevitable to
try to put a name to the varietal, or varietals, we are sipping.
Yet Conundrum is intentionally wily in this regard. It wants you
to wonder and to speculate while you enjoy. If conversation
around the Thanksgiving table becomes strained, this wine could
save the day." |
